Erin Brooks is an environmental attorney with the law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner whose nationwide practice specializes in real estate redevelopment. As part of Erin’s sophisticated brownfield redevelopment practice, Erin routinely represents real estate developers, investors, and sellers in all phases of transactions from due diligence, insurance procurement, and transactional negotiation, including post-closing management of investigation, remediation, and development. Erin appreciates that the early engagement with key stakeholders, including former owners and operators, regulatory agencies, and the public community, is critical to the success of these projects. Erin has driven successful brownfield strategy at project sites throughout New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Florida, Illinois, and California. Key projects have included the decommissioning, demolition, and redevelopment of former energy sites such as coal fired power plants and an oil refinery. Erin is an active member of BCLP’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) global team, which promotes sustainability across industries, including real estate.
