Ms. Almariet Palm serves a Project Geologist, at HRP Associates in Farmington, CT. She completed her Master’s degree in Oceanography at the University of Connecticut. Her project assessed how environmental conditions in microbial mats impact the preservation of diatoms in the fossil record. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Geosciences studying the deformation of sediments overlying ice during kettle lake formation. While at UConn, she served as Lab Manager for the Visscher Geomicrobiology lab and as a lab tech for the Thorson Glaciology Lab. She taught Introduction to Oceanography Lab, and assisted in classes such as Marine Science and Society and Coastal Pollution and Bioremediation. Her involvement in non-profit work and the Waterbury Chamber of Commerce provided experience in effective communication and community development. She currently serves on the Board for the Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast (BCONE) and as the Co-Chair of the CT Expansion Committee for BCONE.Ms. Almariet
