Concurrent Session 3A – What’s Happening in the Empire State: Policy and Politics

This panel discussion will focus on New York State’s recent legislation – the Brownfield Cleanup Program renewal + tax credits. Panel members will also cover the impacts that the Proposed Regulations (Part 375 and Part 360) will have on Brownfield Redevelopment. The panel will:

  1. Compare NYS with other BCONE states, especially regarding affordable housing impacts and regulations implemented before adoption;
  2. Facilitate an open discussion with participants about the positive and negative impacts on projects; and
  3. Discuss BCONE’s role in the process (ie. writing to legislators, preparing white papers, etc.).
