This presentation will focus on various benefits and challenges of developing a solar array on former landfills and Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) sites. Our presentation will focus on landfill solar design challenges from a civil design perspective, permitting considerations, regulatory compliance and interaction with state agencies, consideration of climate change during the design phase, and lessons learned from past projects. This presentation will be given by members of LaBella Associates, D.P.C., and Nexamp. We plan to make this presentation as interactive as possible by incorporating visual aids from previously conducted work, delving into design considerations for landfill solar, and providing ample time for questions and answers from the audience.
