Rista Malanca, AICP has over 15 years of Municipal Experience. Her dedication to ensure fair and equitable development in distressed municipalities has lead to her current position as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Torrington, CT. Torrington’s Industrial legacy has left behind significant environmental concerns that have impact growth. Rista has experience working with a variety of property owners, development teams and State/Federal partners to transform these properties into Community assets. Rista is a member of the CT Brownfield Land Bank, member of the  NVCOG Regional Brownfield Partnership Executive Committee, Co-Chair of the Naugatuck River Greenway Steering Committee and Vice Chair of the CT Greenways Council.
