Marisa Chrysochoou is a Professor and Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Chrysochoou’s general research area is environmental geochemistry, with a focus on site remediation, characterization and reuse of industrial waste and construction materials. Dr. Chrysochoou serves as the Principal Investigator of the EPA Region 1 Technical Assistance for Brownfields Program, supporting communities to promote site cleanup and environmental justice.
