Mr. Jostes founded Environmental Liability Transfer, Inc. (ELT) in 2004, and currently serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Jostes also provides executive leadership to Commercial Development Company, Inc. (CDC) and other corporate affiliates. Over the past decade, he has dramatically improved the landscape of environmental remediation, redevelopment and corporate sustainability throughout North America by successfully assuming and remediating close to $2 billion in environmental liabilities. His innovative approaches have been the catalyst for the infusion of billions of dollars from new vertical development in once blighted communities.
Additionally, Mr. Jostes holds an influential position as a brownfield thought leader and advocate for sustainable development, in this role he serves as an advisor to the EPA-led Superfund Taskforce, a board member for the Department of Energy’s Environmental Management Advisory Board (EMAB), a featured speaker at the past 5 National Brownfield Conferences and many other industry events, an honorary instructor on brownfield development at Rutgers University, and a regular contributor to Bloomberg Environment.
