Christine Thomas is an XSS Hotels Development Partner and Colwen Hotels Management Board of Directors Member. She is on point for site selection and entitlement for this vertically integrated lodging development, operating and holding enterprise that internally controls conceptual, architectural and interior design, construction, purchasing, installation and property management with the intent of a long-term asset hold.

Over the past decade the XSS / Colwen team has developed more than 20 new-construction hotels, predominantly in Massachusetts, licensed with Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide and Intercontinental Hotels Group. This represented more than a $1B investment.

Chris is a hospitality industry veteran with a background in hotel operations, sales, brand development, site selection and land entitlement. She has a history focused on community partnership lodging development in transit-oriented, under served markets and transformative urban renewal endeavors. These urban renewal projects routinely involve environmental remediation and Activity & Use Limitation (AUL). Notable projects include the former Lawrence Metals the first EPA public /private partnership east of the Mississippi and the former American Finishing and Chemical Company a waterfront restoration of Mill Creek. Both projects are located in Chelsea Massachusetts.

Currently, she is involved in the planned clean-up of the former Roche Brothers Barrel and Drum Company site located along the remnants of the Miller River at the Cambridge / Somerville boundary.
